  • Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA): General-purpose medium for bacterial growth.
  • Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA): Supports the growth of fungi, including molds and yeasts.
  • R2A Agar: Optimized for the recovery of stressed or slow-growing microorganisms from water or environmental samples.
  • Rose Bengal Agar: Selective for fungi in samples where bacterial growth suppression is needed.
  • Specific Additives: Media can be supplemented with neutralizers like Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 to inactivate residual disinfectants.
